At Defiance we believe that jiu jitsu is not a black and white art but a spectrum of colors. This reflects the many different kinds of people who train in and benefit from the art. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is specifically designed to accommodate a wide array of body types and learning styles.
Stuart Hoisington began his martial arts career in 2002, training in disciplines such as boxing, Muay Thai, and Kali. In 2006 he began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor James Foster. He is proud to have had Professor Foster as a coach, mentor, and friend ever since. Stu received all of his belts from Professor Foster, and in January of 2017 was awarded his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
